As a longtime baseball fan, I could not resist posting the above the magnificent view of AT&T Park in San Francisco from a picture I took during a VIP tour from the Giant's CIO in May, 2017.  But I did this to use the Giants as an example of striving for excellence.  Winning 3 world championships in 8 years and selling out their stadium for 530 consecutive games during this timespan IS NO ACCIDENT!  Their CIO ensured that the stadium include over 2 and 1/2 times the Wi-Fi hotspots than any other team in the major leagues...they make it convenient for their fans, many employed in Silicon Valley, to work at the ballpark.  They also want their fans to remain connected to the Golden State Warriors, a fabulous team enjoying great success.  Their fans have many diverse interests so why not make the experience enjoyable, and of course maximize the revenues from concessions and parking.  Furthermore the CIO is an integral part of management delivering analytical data for the team to make the most informed player decisions.   The Giants win because they pay attention to ALL phases of the game, and set a high bar for themselves.
